Seriously - I think Paul Rivera has a problem with his ears or something.
Not only does he design some of the most bass-heavy amps out there, he makes subs to go under them just in case you need even MORE bass.
If you stand in front of the KR7 with a little volume going.....
it will knock your nutsack around.

Shit has some BEEF to it!!

:D
Hell Yeah.....that amp is a MONSTER!!!
Rivera makes great amps!!
Oh Oh, sounds like a Herbie is going up for sale!!
Nah.....I owned the Rivera KR7 prior to the Diezels....

Hmmmm....... I stay away from amps that have that psuedo, modern low end thing going on. I've had a few (ENGL, Mesa Rec). Never sounded that great with my bands.

I've heard others make them sound ok.

Covers up the bass player though when guitarists get too bass heavy.

Oh, and when I've tried to record with them the engineers freak out. "Can you turn the bass down to like, 0? Thanks."

My old Nitro had ridiculous amounts of bass, more than some Uberschall's imo.

It wasn't the boom of a Rectifier though, but it was so strong it could take over the sound very easily if you weren't careful. Especially through my Mesa Roadking cab it was actually too much bass for me.

I played a Nitro recently and it had some thump. Seemed useable though. Great amp.

I'm more interested in what type of bass rsponce, rather than sheer quantity, an amp has.

E.g. Wide, diffuse, 3-D room filling bass or a harder, gut wrenching bass that kicks you in the nuts. I prefer the latter.

board, im disappointed. no one said redbear MK120.

i feel like all the answers are a little wrong when the redbear hasnt been mentioned yet in a thread about bass heavy guitar amps.

Thank you everyone .... I am looking for ones I have not tried, there are a few I well be looking at mentioned here ....

Out of all the heads I have tried ..... the SUNN Model T is the one I felt had the most bottom, It just does not do high gain .... about that of a JCM 800. I am thinking the Mesa Strategy 500 may be the way to go.

The guy I sold my SUNN Model T is now using a Verellen Meatsmoke. He tells me it is the one when it comes to bottom.
One of the guys working at Verellen is playing in one of my old bands and invited me down to check out what they do at the shop ....

It really depends on the bass player and material being played. I like bass players (in general) that play it like a full range instrument (like a piano) better than the bass players who hang on the bottom.

Same here. I love that monstrous massive solid thick heavy chunk that crushes everything to a pulp. That's what 'brutal' is  .

This.

Way more low end than the Herbert, with the punch on the CCV almost off.

I was pretty shocked.

I have been wanting to go check out http://www.electricamp.com/ on the other side of the mountains myself. http://www.verellenamplifiers.com/verellen.html is much closer.
When I do I well put up a review.

Really ?..... I would have not guessed this. The Herbert puts out a lot of bottom.

Yep. Have 'em side by side. Staggering amount of low end on the CCV.

Splawn Nitro is the most bass heavy amp I've ever played. I had to roll back the bass close to 8:00... it's so overwhelming and thumping, it shakes your bones
