On a whim I decided to hit record on my iPhone and record this vid of my favorite Andy Timmons tune, Electric Gypsy. I used my Anderson Classic to get me closer to a traditional strat tone. I used a Marshall 1897x profile from my Kemper. I know the original didn't have delay but I love using it (sue me)!
I know I don't play it note for note and there are a few flubs but I love playing it nonetheless. This tune is about dynamics and control of which I am still trying to perfect. The tapping part near the beginning is still a challenge but getting better with practice. One playthrough and boom. Next time I will mic up the Electra Dyne and use that instead of the KPA. My pedalboard is almost done!
BTW, I am training for a triathlon this Saturday so no wise cracks about the shaved legs.
