Where are these examples from? Does he have an instructional DVD out? I'm too lazy to look for it. PLus, damm i love his tone here, makes me think i should keep my Lonestar.

No DVD yet , these might of been from Guitar World or Guitar One. I have the mag somewhere.

Weird, I was watching that for the first time in a while today and was wondering where it was from too. Love those bebop-inspired lines he plays.

What a monster player!

Yeah man, I'm really dig'n my Lonestar. I needs an OD for sure but hitting it with a good one puts it into da "tone zone."

Some guys have installed footswitch option for the drive switch which makes it more versatile. I did the 2 Reeder mods which were pretty easy. Also, when i run a Damage Control Glass Nexus in front of the clean channel it's just pure sex.

Correct, its from a Guitar One I believe.

Guitar One July 2006, he's just too good. Still can't believe he was in Danger Danger

that guy was amazing 20 years ago.

me and my old college roommate walked in to NAMM in like 86-87 and AT was demoing for Kramer on some little combo and playing to a ghetto blaster backing track.

we stood there in shock for like 4 songs because he was basically a nobody that crushed so hard.

i was into satch and EJ back then and i remember andy having many similarities to the big boys but with a youthful gunslinger thing like jason becker...so good it just oozed out effortlessly.

this was before danger danger days. i was so bummed with that first cd they put out, because i knew how good timmons was and he didn't put his foot on the gas once...it was all poison/warranty nonsense.

while everyone and his mother was trying to be serious somber classical viking paganini yngwie, woodpecker pick gilbert, and ginzu hockeystick lynch, and basically spitting out mid 80's GIT/shrapnel zerotonesoul robodata, andy was just connecting the dots in a different and very musical way much like you hear of him nowadays. lots of joyful major sounding melodies and silky vibrato.

I remember saying Hi to Andy when he visited Kramer in 1990. And back then i also liked Michael Lee Firkins soo much because he was soo different from all the shrapnel Varney shredders.

me and my old college roommate walked in to NAMM in like 86-87 after watching a Perfect Strangers marathon. I was just breaking my hi-tops in and scoping out the all the choice shredding gear and AT was demoing for Kramer on some little combo and playing to a ghetto blaster backing track. That drum track sounded sooo ace.

we stood there in shock for like 4 songs because he was basically a nobody that crushed so hard. And here we were, thinking WE were badass because we had brand new Members Only jackets and I'd FINALLY gotten my hair like Macgyver's. If I could have played like that Kelly LeBrock would have been all over my jock.

*cough*fixed*cough* Wow really? That's totally boss.

He did actually do an instructional video but it was aimed at beginners. It's a shame he hasn't done anything since.
