Looking at the MKV this morning and reading over the features online. Mesa plays Andy Timmon's Resolution in the background during their factory tour video. Great song, great tone. I know Andy doesn't use the MKV, but i'm wondering how close you could get to that clean tone with the MKV.

Any thoughts?

I think Resolution was recorded with a plexi... With some tweaking you can get close. There's nothing particularly special about his clean tone on that album. It's good, but it's nothing unique. You should get the Dimarzio Cruiser though. That REALLY sounds like Timmons thru everything! LOL! :D

Yeh, I heard it was a Marshall and old Fender for that recording. (?) His sound is great on that factory tour video too ... I would guess with some tweaking you could come close with a Mark4. A lot had to do with the guitar, pickups, and hands of course ...

Oh yeh ... another trick would be to run two delays in series into a mono amp ... that seems to be what he does if I remember correctly from that video.

Actually I have given up on the axefx and am lining up stuff to sell for the MKV and looking at financing for it thru the local Mesa dealer.

HOMO!!!!!

Thanks for the info Carl!! I'll look into the double delay chain.

I love how a Mesa factory tour video has a tune played with a Marshall running over it...
