Okay, so i have to let the cat out of the bag. I play in a national act, and we were headlining one of the stages at the Riverbend festival in Chatanooga, TN tonight. I was on my way to the stage when i ran into Andy. I introduced myself and we chatted for several minutes. I couldn't hang long, but Andy it was cool to meet you bro! I hate i didn't get a picture with ya, but maybe next time!

Andy is every bit as cool in real life as he is on RT, for those wondering.

For those that didnt get to make it to the festival, my buddies jeff sipe and mike seal were playing with jeff coffin and felix pastorious, it was SICK!!!!!! after their gig is where i ran into mississippimetal.

next month and I'm going to be out of town on an anniversary trip with my wife

I've been a hobbyist off and on since I as about 15 years old so going on just over 20 years now. I just finally got serious about learning the instrument about 2 years ago, putting in consistent practice time doing more than just learning songs, but I've never had any kind of lesson or instruction and mentors are few and far between where I live. I was looking for some kind of weekend clinic or something close by and ran across this, then I noticed the date conflict

Yeah, but this one was about a 1 hr drive from where I live. If you factor in flying or driving out somewhere and getting a hotel room + meals (+ beer), you could be talking about an expensive weekend clinic.
