Killer playing here. I really like the tapping sections. His picking is off the charts.

Andy never disappoints but seems like the video and recording has been sped up some????

I don't know. All I know is I ain't as good as this guy.

Neal Schon is richer and has had a more legendary career. He would shred this better.

Considering I have heard him play part of this in person I can say even if the videos sped up he can play it that fast .. Dude is the best guitarist I have ever been around or seen in person for that matter .. Guy doesn't just play the shred stuff that sounds like a robot his licks and tapping are catchy which is the point isn't it ? ... Andy's a great player don't doubt his playing until you can see him in person .

Andy is truly gifted player and a great dude as well. Last week he played my Sykes Les Paul for a set at his show here in town...sounded incredible!

Saw a pic of him with your LP  Very cool.... and a great guy and one HELLUVA player

Little side note... As a huge Guthrie Govan fan, Andy wrote this as his kind of tribute to him. Chelmsford is where Guthrie used to play with his jazz project weekly when he was in England. Awesome stuff from Andy!

On another note. What is it with all this "sped up" stuff? - doesn't look sped up at all to me...

Steve

Sped up? ... nah.

Too funny!

Just look at his head movements...all look normal to me.

I guess I make one little remark about the video being sped up and other threads are started about it, didn't mean for it to turn this way!
No disrespect to Mr. Wood, I don't have a 1/64 of his talent.

It's not just you or this video, there was a whole thread about sped up videos that weren't really sped up.

Rather than speeding up the video, perhaps the effect that people are observing has to do with the number of frames being shot per second. A slightly smaller number of frames shot per second won't be noticeable with slower moving objects (e.g., Andy's head) but can make his rapid hand movements appear a bit jerky and somewhat unnatural (i.e., unnaturally fast). I've noticed this same effect in certain movies and TV shows from, say, the 1970s where for instance a moving car is being filmed from a stationary position and the people in the car look normal but the motion of the car itself seems unusually fast as it moves in relation to the background.
