Hey just wondering how you are liking the modded Marshall? I saw you got it awhile back. Just curious how you are digging it. Mine will hopefully be on the way in a few weeks. Thanks!

Funny you should ask, I just got word from my wife that the amp arrived today! Dave had it for about 6 weeks since I won it on eBay, so I haven't played it yet! I should be diggin the amp after dinner! Stay tuned for a review.

Cool man! I just got mine back today too.. Its the first I put my guitar down since 10:30 this morning
Im loving the new mods :inlove:

Awesome!!! Looking forward to some reviews from you guys.

Well, I got the amp, but with no power cord! I have no way to try it until I get one. Talk about a bummer!

LOL! I did that years ago when I bought an amp. I was ready to fire it up and realized I didn't have a cord. :) Hang in there man.

Yeah, off to Guitar Center after work today I guess.

I'm curious to see what position #2 does on the SAT switch!? Dave said it was a different voice, anyone else have two positions on the SAT?

I bought a cable and was able to try the amp, after 10pm though, so I had to keep it at really low volume. From what I heard, the amp is a monster! Killer tone, great touch sensitivity, and cleans up like no other amp I've tried! It can go from full gain, to very clean, by rolling the guitar volume back - and there is no huge volume change. Very cool!

The SAT switch adds gain and compression, and the second position on the switch adds low end and scoops more mids (from what I heard at low volume).

The beauty is overall, it still sounds like a Plexi, not a totally different amp like my Splawn modded Marshall.

I'll have to do a Youtube video demo this weekend - there are only a handfull of Friedman modded amp demos on there, not sure why!? Maybe everyone wants to keep the secret so Dave doesn't get too busy and stop doing mods??

Thanks again Dave!!

Congrats man.. I knew you would like it. Looking forward to the vid in the near future
Also is your Sat. switch different than normal?? Mine can just be on or off.. You sure it isn't the gain cut switch?

I guess I got a dual sat switch. I asked Dave and he said it had two voices. I haven't figured out which one I like yet. For me theres plenty of gain in the BE without the sat switch!

Outstanding! That is cool you are digging it. Like people say, if you like it at low volumes you'll love it at even higher volumes.

I'm anxious to get my amp back. I have two speaker cabs, a 2x12 Genz Benz and Marshall JCM 900 4x12 Cab, and look forward to hearing the amp thru both. It is great to hear that the amp cleans up so well. I told Dave not to put in a clean, so nice to know I'll be able to pull back the volume and have another sound.

See below (thanks Chris)! Just noodling, but the tone is there!

I didn't like that recording of the Moddified 800... is that how the Marsha sounds?!

What about the tone didn't you like? And remember, it was recorded with my cell phone, at low volume. So I am assuming a Marsha/Friedman would sound about the same, on the BE mod, at low volume, recorded with a cell phone!

I listened to it on my laptop (soundcard is broke on my main computer) and I thought it sounded fine. I could tell that you were using something small to record it with.

I thought it sounded good.. Especially for what it was recorded with and the low volume it was at.. It was so low you could hear the guitar stings and it still sounded great... Thats the ole Brown Eye for ya :D
