Ok, here's the listing on Reverb. He also has it for sale on The Gear Page. Don't think he's infected R/T yet, but give him time.

https://reverb.com/item/208007-bogner-2 ... footswitch

He had it for sale for $2250 on the gear page. I contacted him, after a few touch and gos we landed on a price, a time to meet and a place to meet. This was on a friday, and I was to drive to Dallas from Tulsa on sunday and pick up the amp and pay him in person. I agreed to pay his asking price, to drive down to Dallas, all he had to do was meet me at Guitar Sanctuary which is in McKinney - about 1/2 an hour out of Dallas. Not a big deal for him but it did take a little more off my burden of driving 9 or so hours there and back. Mind you, I moved my schedule around so I could do this on sunday. i don't know about the rest of you, but taking 9 hours or so out of my weekend usually isn't done easily.

The next day (saturday) I get a text from him - saying he can't meet there because the alarm is out on his car and he can't leave the amp in his car at his girlfriend's place. (obvious bullshit on his part, but fine, I played along.) Mentioned to him that I would, in that situation, probably carry the amp inside the home of his girlfriend. Then I'm told that he can't carry the amp head up to her 2nd floor apartment.

Alrighty.... so when CAN we meet? He says Tuesday at 3pm. Great, seeya at Guitar Sanctuary on Tuesday. Then the dude tells me that he has another buyer lined up that will drive the extra distance to him, so he doesn't have to drive 30 minutes to Guitar Sanctuary. I'm told if I still want the amp I have to drive further than we agreed. He gives me his home address.

This doesn't sit too well with me - a deal's a deal, I think - so I tell him that he's dishonest, we made a deal, it wasn't the distance that bothered me so much as him lining up someone else and basically changing terms on me after we agreed to them. I also add if he contacts me again I'll offer to cram the amp up his lying ass.

Of course he replies. :) Tells me the other reason why he didn't want to meet was because I was obviously a violent person. Of course, I try to send every possibly violent person I'm considering a deal with my home address. Basically says I could pull a gun on him at Guitar Sanctuary or something. whatever. I guess he has force fields or a cannon of some sort at his domicile. Or his live in boyfriend there is a badass.

I end our delightful transaction by telling him I or even a halfway healthy teenage girl should have no need of a firearm or any other violence multiplier to deal with him in any situation if he can't carry a fucking amp up a flight of stairs.

So anyways, this was over a month ago. He's still got the amp for sale. Missing the footswitch, but I don't think it's a bad price... he's just an asshole. Avoid him. Meant to post awhile back, but forgot and saw the issues on the Uber and had a deja vu moment.

Either those aren't nearly as valuable as I thought, or he's a real head case. Those seem to be the only reasons I can think that the amp is still "available" at that price.

Flakier than a pie crust! I am hearing a lot of stories like this lately.

I had contacted him on the amp as well as i was wondering why a 20th would be class A...he told me it was class A only and not A/B, wired from the factory according to him - so I wanted no part of it. Glad I didn't drive to Dallas

Man we's gettin old. I almost threw my back out carrying my cab to the basement over the weekend.

what a dick...WTF is wrong with people?

Dude is a pussy and probably just lying about. I lived on 2nd and 3rd floor apartments and gigged, I never left any gear in my car or it would have been stolen...I had 2 cars stolen from apartments. Yea it was a bitch carrying 4x12 and heads up and down stairs but its not that hard to do, just a minor pain really. Even when I lives with my parents, my room was upstairs and the basement downstairs so either way I had steps to deal with.

I bought a delay pedal on Reverb two weeks ago. I read his ad, sent him an offer and then before accepting the offer he changed the listing to note that the pedal was not working. I didn't think to check the ad again after he accepted the offer because, well, why would I? I get the pedal, it doesn't power up so I contact him about a refund. He tells me "the ad notes that the pedal is not in working condition". It blew my mind. I noted that it didn't say anything of the sort when I made the offer and he responded that he edited the listing before he saw my offer. When I asked him for a refund he noted his no refund policy on used items but that he would take a return this one time, minus the shipping and also minus a 20% restocking fee. At this point I flipped out and asked him why he didn't change the price to reflect that it was broken (I paid $75.00 + 10 shipping). He said that it was still worth $75 and that I just needed to fix one connection. I took it to my tech, he spent a day checking it out and told me it was toast. So I complain to reverb and they did nothing about it. Lovely.

Just reading that makes me angry as hell! It didn't even happen to me, yet I'm still having visions of crushing the dude's fucking skull with a baseball bat! :gethim:

The dork's video is hilarious!! "Set at 1/2 power with correct impotence??"

Wow, just wow.
That dude is in need of an adjustment given how he treated both of you posting about his BS. :gethim:

Just noting that the delay pedal I bought was not from the same seller. Just similar cause it's on reverb and on there they do nothing to punish anyone unless they happen to catch people trying to deal outside of reverb for an item listed.

Pete, going for dual 6L6/EL34 20th action?

Sorry to hear, I try to be more picky buying/selling these days...

Got it.
Then BOTH of those sellers need an adjustment. :)

Pete, you must not of heard of the Amp Gang. They go around robbing amps from people if they are outside with it for more then 5 minutes.
When I carry my amp head outside....you better believe that its handcuffed thru the handle to my wrist.
Cant take any chances with the Amp Gang.

Gotta love crap like that, Pete. Idiot lost a sale from a legit buyer.
