Thought it was about time for another kemper thread. Sacha's boosted über, ampfactory pack 3 boosted 6505, and ampfactory SLO for all leads, all night. NEVER had so many compliments only tone in 10 years of gigging... Was even told we have the best sound in town multiple times tonight.... CARRY ON!!!!!

Congratulations on a good gig. Can you post some video. I am used to playing through amps that shake your pant legs at the gigs. Can the Kemper do that. Or is it all ran through monitors/PA ? Just wondering. Does it cut through okay? I was looking at getting something like that later on when the price drops a little or can pick one up used.

Yep, I remember Scott Peterson and the AxeFX goons always talking about how many compliments they got on their tone. Every show had more and more compliments, until the point they got more compliments than people coming to their show. Nevermind this logical fallacy, the point is it is all very familiar.

Anyways, I'm glad there's a new modeler king in town. Watching the Axe tools react has been golden, but somehow kind of dull. Definitely time for some new tools to hit the streets and it seems we have some folks stepping up to the plate.

The question is, will the Kemper user base settle for number two or will they go for all AxeFX crowns? Time will tell.

There's definitely some parallels to the initial rise of the Axe-Fx with regards to internet forum culture (imo).

It's almost like watching a stock market sector bubble rapidly growing towards a messy burst in the future.

I think as more higher end devices are brought to market the fanbases will start to fragment and become less monolithic in nature than the "big two" currently dominating the niche.

Although I may not call them goons as that is just begging a response ,the WHOLE AXFx vs_________ is the strangest thing I have ever seen in a gear trend.

You see people asking what better between a Bog XTC or SLO ,but I never see the defensiveness I see in modeller threads ,With models its like it has to be one or the other.
Is it because of the personality of the modeller guys its almost like the Apple vs PC argument .?

Play what you want and what inspires you ,but these guys want everyone in the world to be the same .I don't have an issue with them saying I had a great gig occasionally .I don't have an issue with people reviewing their gear and telling you about it .

I do have an issue with them popping into ever thread and trying to shove it down people throat ,I do have an issue with the attitude displayed many times and good informative threads locked because a couple of comments don't favor the axe .


In A LOT of cases they are fun and life is a bowl of cherries ,when things don't go their way and a poll starts to favor the competition ,they pull clips or close threads.

it reminds of a very infantile response and temper tantrum . I can always here Cartman ,"Screw you guys Im going home" In my head.

I am glad there is new competition and I'm sure more will come ,play what you like and what inspires you ,Don't worry about others ,worry about yourself. If you need Daily affirmation

It is its own entity. The parallels of the Kemper's rise to the top the AxeFX is amazing similar. I couldn't care less about what they play, but the building of the culture is pure entertainment.

Start a "which one, Kemper or AxeFX" in TGP's modeler forum. You can tell them "more power to them", but it won't change the inevitable shitstorm the thread will turn into.

I for one will always keep around a few of my favorite tube amps and would like to one day add to my collection. Still jonesing to get my hands on the Fortin inspired Randall Satan.

When I see guys with 10000 post on forums I wonder if they actually like playing guitar/writing songs or if they just like typing on the internet? The internet is a great tool, but some of that energy should be directed to putting out more music for us to enjoy....whether it be with a Kemper/ Axe FX or a good ol, irreplaceable tube amp?

It is kind of funny that TGP actually had to stop it, here you have what 15 or so high end amps and I have never seen posts battling back and forth over which one is best.

What is sad is the fact that most of these people are adults.......
