Haven't heard alot on here about Cornford amps, in particular the MK 50. I've had one for a few months now and it is an amazing amp. Great tones and PLENTY loud. They seem to have addressed everything I didnt like about my SLO-100 AND added a 2nd master volume for solo boosts. The first channel gets you to classic Marshall breakup and the overdrive channel is fantastic. It has put my Ecstasy on the shelf..... for now :D it is definately a keeper. Just waiting for them to do a production 100 watter,,, if that ever happens. So are there any other Cornford fans out there????

GREAT sounding amps.

Check out Richie Kotzen live here:

I think he's playing his signature Cornfords (not 100% sure - someone please correct me if not) and the tone is great.
Hi-Gain, but still hear the single coil overtones and twang.
Really cool. (of course the amazing playing and soulful singing sure adds to the clip!!!)

Have had the RK 100 and MK,great amps but I got bored after some days. So they are great but I'm not a fan.

Yea those are the Kotzen signatures he is playing. They are the only hundred watt amp Cornford offers. However, I think the MK 50 has a much better gain channel/tone.

My MK 50 arrived today and it sounds great!

rehearsal in the morning!

I love Cornfords. I would not mind buying a Roadhouse in the future.

Isn't that a Mk 50 I ? Also, see the date, wasn't the RK released later than that ?

I LOVE Cornfords !!

I bought a MK50 last year (ex Wishbone Ash) with a matching V30 loaded 4x12 and my tone has never been better. Roll off the volume on my Suhr Modern and I get a lovely warm, woody clean, nice r crunch hen i whack it up again, and screaming lead with the overdrive and second master kicked in.
Recently ditched the 4x12 as it was a beast to lug around and bought two 2x12's, no loss of tone at all to my ears. I also have a Harlequin for home use but it never gets used ... shame as it's an amazing amp.

My Mk50II rules. Combined with the Axe Fx, I'll never need another amp.

Giga, what I meant was the SLO was voiced a bit to much in the high end, or high mids for me. The Cornford is voiced slighty lower, and has a resonance control to adjust the low end even further. Also the loop on the Cornford is much better, and the addition of a 2nd master volume is a great idea for Soldano to add as a stock option. I had an SLO for 2 years so I am able to make a comparision. The Cornford is built every bit as tank-like and in general I think is a better overall package.... for me.

That Kotzen makes me sick. I hate that fucker! He's just too talented and good looking for his own good. Its not right. :D
