I guess it could indeed be a Custom Shop 48th str. NY USA guitar but with different parts. I mean the ESP stamps are there

Would definitely be mid to late 80s with that headstock.

The body doesn't bother me; they had Strat shaped bodies in the mid 80s. The neck seems a bit oddly shaped. Any pics of the logo on the headstock?

There are lots of old ESP catalogs to look through at:

Thx a lot! I've emailed esp and they answered back "We unfortunately do not have records on guitars from this time period. I will do some research and see if I can find any information for you. I will get back to you as soon as I can."
The guy is asking 950 euros I suppose it's a bit pricey.. The neck seems a bit off to me... Here's a photo of the headstock

The logo is certainly not from the factory. Based on how it attaches at the neck pocket, it looks like the body has been modified for some reason. The part that angles out toward the bottom of the body is supposed to be narrow at the neck plate, but is a full rectangle where the neck attaches (if that makes any sense). Look at this pic and see how you don't see the neck wood behind the plate.

There's just a bunch of things that feel a bit off about that guitar. For 950 euros, I'd pass. The guitar may be legit, but there is definitely a story about damage or replacement that you haven't been told.

Thx man I already passed!

Look at the neck pocket Pic. Looks like the wood between the neck pocket and neck pickup broke totally off and was maybe glued back in place. You can see the crack in the neck pocket Pic then see the crackle paint doesn't line up in the close up with the neck pickup. Good call to pass...
