Are there any Les Paul Axcess owners on here? Or anyone that's tried one out?

If so, what are your thoughts on it? (Tone/playability/feel etc)

I'm seriously interested in these, since they basically addressed a bunch of the issues that i always have had with Les Pauls. The new 'heel-less' neck joint is something i loved the idea of, ever since they did it on the Neal Schon Les Paul. For me it's the biggest selling point of this guitar. And the tummy contour is also something that really appeals to me.
The Floyd Rose is also something that i like. I'm not a huge Floyd user but i do love the tuning stability they provide.

I'm all for a guitar that is designed as a 'players guitar', so I'm going to try and get to a Gibson dealer to test one out soon. If it turns out as good as I'm hoping, then I'm sure I'll end up buying one!

When they first came out,I played 2 of them and thought the flamed top one I played sound great, played great and was just an awesome guitar!!!The charcoal one was kind of a dud tho I thought.

I'm selling my Iced Tea flametop one. It still feels bulky to me, and the volume/tone controls aren't really easily accessible around the floyd and the arched top. The neck feels ok, but overall this guitar doesn't do it for me.....and I really wanted it to do something for me.....

Dan I have a fixed bridge axcess and all the the changes make it a great lp to play. I had the axcess with the floyd and the fixed bridge version works best for me. I save the floyd rose stuff for the charvel. If you can get one at a good price grab it.

I didn't like them when i tried them, they just felt wrong. I'd take PRS Singlecut instead. I see that PRS is putting Floyds on for Schon so not sure if they have more coming out for regular production.

I play mostly a strat/charvel, but I played one once for a few hrs and didn't want to put it down. It played and sounded great

Bought the CS Axcess from Brad. Hope to have it by Wed!

Shipping it today Big Dog! I also just picked up a non floyd version and it rocks.

I owned one. Felt great, but the arm on the Floyd does get in the way of the controls so I dumped it. If you don't need the Floyd I'd opt for the non-Floyd version.

Thanks for the feedback/opinions guys!

I think I'm gonna have to just make a trip to the local Gibson dealer so i can try one out  Then I can decide if i prefer the Floyd or non-Floyd model!

I know this is the wrong thread for this but, the new PRS SE model with the Floyd is uber cool and great sounding. I have played 1 Axcess model that I liked and a few more that I didn't.

Hey Ivan, is that the Torero model that you're talking about? If so, i'm interested in that guitar too. Hoping to check one out in person soon too!

Yep, that's the one! Killer guitars!

I would not buy blind on that model, all I am saying. Played one that was pretty good and several others that were not. Right idea though to get that slab of wood to today's specs.
