Just received one and looking for wisdom.

Using in a mono setup direct in the amp's loop. The sound quality is excellent. Not sure I have it setup correctly. When using some of the initial patches, all I get is the delayed sound. I am using the left/mono input and output. I don't see anywhere in the manual which shows a dry mute setting. What am I doing wrong?

Any other recommendations you have about the unit(settings, experiences) would also be appreciated!!

I don't own a DL8000R, but if you're getting only the delayed (100% wet) output on certain patches, check to make sure the Direct Level/Signal isn't set at zero. Some units don't have a dry mute/kill dry function, but have an adjustable Direct level/signal setting which lets you do the same thing. I know my Roland RSP-550 had the same thing.
