I have some, took a long to get it to sound good (EQ and a boost, but it was worth it, it sounds pretty great live now!)

(excuse the eh, playing, I've only been playing for 4 years, but I try. Also. I had just woken up about 10 minutes earlier, I was like "I think I'm going to make a video of my laney now" )

I have a Boss GE 7 running the settings as follows:

100: +3
200: -8
400: +5
800: -4
1.6k: +3
3.2k: -8
6.4k -10
Level: +5

during the clip I also used a BBE Boosta Grande set at just just below half for about 30 seconds.

The EQ is in front and there is a combo of Tung-sol's and JJ's in the pre. I have EHX 6L6's for power tubes *puke*

I haven't tried EL34s, but I almost always like 34's more than 6L6's so We'll see

I used to have an aor100, was pretty cool, bought it for bass but used it for guitars a bit too but had a 5150 and was playing heavier shit back then so the 5150 was the go to amp

would like to try it again now that im in an 80s style metal band.

but picked up a gh50 recently, gave it a bit of a run through but my red bear killed it in all areas initially, couldnt get it sounding right, then found out the presence knob wasnt screwed on tight enough so was doin nothing when i spun it round. now i figured that out gave it another go and its sounding good. need to tweak it a lot more still though, but was about to sell it but now think ill hold onto it for a while

Cool, I've got EHX EL34's in mine, and some rebranded JJ's in the pre. Don't like the amp with V30 alone. I've been using Greenbacks and T75's mostly.
Haven't tried a eq pedal with it, but get great results boosting with an od pedal. Gain and drive at 5.

Yeah, I really want to try some greenies with it, the V30s get overly "spiky" with it. it loves a good boost for sure. I really love the EQ I think it really needs one to shine.

the GH50 definitely needs work, but once you get it it's a pretty good amp.
