Started troubleshooting my FU-3 last night.
we have determined the cable is fine, so now we are thinking it's the chips on the board

I used this thread for reference: http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30607

we tested the pins on the logic chip for power but did not get the appropriate reading (once again, per the thread above)

The LED's on the footswitch work for the loop and eq switch (and those switches work) but no LEDs nor any channel switching from the channel buttons.

is replacing the chip my next step or is there something else I should look into?

does mesa supply these chips?

I would just send it to Mesa/Boogie and have them fix it.

If you post some good pics of the front and back of the board, I can probably help troubleshoot.

To start though, what is the number of the chip you tested for power, and what is the reading? I assume it's a 14 or 16 pin chip, so did you read across pins 16/8 or 14/7?

EDIT: Just checked out the Boogie Board thread. An 18 pin logic chip is pretty rare, but regardless, they are correct, measure between 9 and 18. What was the voltage?

yeah we measured pins 9 and 18 it was supposed to be +5 volts and I think it read out to something like 3 volts...I can't remember and I don't have a multimeter here at home to double check. I should have one here soon though... so I can get back to you on that one.
