Now I come in peace, I’ll placed rifle at my feet.

This is what really has me blown away
I speak only to the opening portions of the riff
as it dissipates into multiple styles/timing/tapping.
Each chord he stabs is of other instruments of a multiple changing soul me jazz meets fake jazz kinda’ way. chords he uses as notes,
and each chord is like a different instrument, a horn, a saxophone..etc and uses the chords for the grease.
That is DEPTH.
How do you hear it?

I found this video interesting (IMO) on Tim Henson's evolution from 10 years old to 28 years old.

There's some Petrucci-esque shredding along the way.

Well let’s see, Tim Henson has a bunch of weird zoomer tattoos and he’s weirdly pretty for a dude which is a weird thing for you to force me to say, so obviously his music is stupid and terrible.

Seriously though, Polyphia is cool. Not my favorite band the world and the stuff they’ve been putting out lately hasn’t resonated with me at all really, but there’s no denying the talent in that band. Their earlier records are really good though.

You're obviously a "boomer" who just doesn't understand how fucking awesome Polyphia is.

Dude is talented for sure.
He packs a lot of chords and notes into his tunes. I like watching him piece together a song on his computer.
But, kind of like Malmsteen, I feel like I've heard all his songs after hearing one.
Know what I'm saying?

This ^^

I felt the same way about Dream Theater when they first came out. I was blown away by the technical and talent aspects of it, but after a while the groove or the hook just wasn't there enough to keep me interested. I can 110% respect what they (and Polyphia) are doing, and these guys completely mop the floor with me from a guitar playing standpoint (most people do) but it's not something that really appeals to me from the "gut feeling" perspective that makes me want to listen to them on a regular basis. But, to each their own.

I feel ya bro'.

Music can get too-complimicated for mere mortals to appreciate and in the process it loses its soul, its ability to resonate, move and connect.
Polyphia would definitely be a poor soundtrack for throwing dung and banging pots and pans together.

Wake me when he gets his sex change and switches his name to Tiffany. :emofag:
