Anyone use GFS pickups? How are they quality and tone wise?

They are not real expensive but do you get what you pay for?
All opinions are welcome

THANKs

It varies model to model. The Fatbody Alnico tele neck is a really nice sounding pickup. Very Strat like. I love it better than the Fralin I had in the neck slot. A lot of people compliment the P-90 style pickups they make. I put a set of rail pickups in a customer's guitar and thought they were very generic sounding. Some of the bases and holes might not line up exactly as straight as a Seymour Duncan or others. Seems QC maybe where costs are cut.

Bottom line - hit or miss depending on the model.

depends on the pickup. some are really decent for the price.

at this point though there are quite a few dogs in the offshore fight, i prefer tone boutique from canada right now.

you can also find the artec (not gfs branded) on eBay and i have had luck getting the gfs similars eve cheaper.

I got a strat set for $17 that not only filled the pick guard holes i was looking to but sound killer! I didn't think id even play them and use them often.

I put a Crunchy Rails in a super Strat and it sounded great!

I've got a GPS Crunchy Rails in my Ibanez Artcore semi hollow that sounds really good. It's a darker sounding pickup, which works great with that guitar.

PS I'm back!
