When I first heard Justin Pearson using a Schuman PLL I instantly needed one in my life. Well I can't afford an original so I then discovered the Montreal Assembly PurPLL. Found a new one in reverb and grabbed it. Freaking insane pedals. More than a effect, truly an instrument into itself.
This things ticks all the weirdness things I wanted.

My only PLL is the Beetronics Swarm, but it's awesome for making spaceman noises

I checked the swarm out, pretty cool fun sounding pedal. I went withe PurPLL because it can do a lot of useful weird things. This video made me pull the trigger. The 21 internal dipswitches add a new dimension to what this thing can do.

I didn't even know what a PLL was before this thread but the beginning of that clip sounds dope
You need a PLL in your life. I cant imagine not having one after having had mine for almost a year. It's an adventure Everytime I plug it in.
Last year around this time I had no clue that a pedal like this even existed. I had never heard of a PLL and had no idea that they existed at all.

Also if you only engage the squrewave it ca serve as one of the nastiest most brutal fizz pedals you've ever heard. I have dialed th exact sound you hear at the begining of that video. I just set my knobs and switches to what he had in the pic in the video. It's a fun thing to play.
