I have the POD Farm... it's okay for the money.
it's free !
.
I paid 50 bucks for mine, but that was awhile back.

Well, I meant that is free 'cos came free with my Line6 UX-1 hardware. For an independent hardware I guess is not.

.

I use it all the time. There are some great tones in there. Ive got version 1.1 and id REALLY like to upgrade to 2.5 Platinum but its some pretty serious dough

How did you use Redwirez? Do you load it in your DAW or run it standalone with POD? I downloaded it but It didn't seem to work either way.

I dig POD farm. Easy to use and sounds best to me. I use Guitar Rig 4 also. I like the cleans on GR4 and and semi dirty tones but I can't seem to get hi gain tones that sound decent. Maybe its my speakers.
Here's a tune I did that I used to compare heavier tones. This is with POD farm 2.0.

First, you need to have an impulse loading VST. So run POD Farm as a VST in your DAW. Then run an impulse loading VST after it on the same track.

For the POD Farm VST either use the amp VST only or use the full one but turn off the cab in it.

As an impulse loader you can use the one that Redwirez sells (mixIR). That one comes free if you buy the full package of impulses. Or use a 3rd party one. Redwirez lists ones that have low delay. Theirs is one, but if you use another one be sure it's a low delay one. LeCab is a free one with low delay IIRC.

For heavy tones try the Soldano cabs in Redwirez with a mic such as the U67. Great!! You can mix multiple cabs too.

I think Logic has a native impulse loader built in. I haven't tried it, but look into it if you use Logic.
