Hey guys......I am considering picking up a used Rivera head maybe next spring. I used to have a 90s Rivera K-55 which is the older model of the Knucklehead. This was long before they switched to the ultra gain heads. It was rich, smooth and really thick - reminded me a bit of a Bogner, plus they go cheap, used.

Sure, but some people have other amps and like to discuss it on this forum to compare with the Egnater stuff and say why for example they have both. I'll start a new and different thread. :)

richie richie richie richie richie, what are we gonna do with you man

DUDE, Jason....

My wife bought me a G.A.S. t-shirt. She knows me well!

Rich, this is with all due respect, but every Rivera I've played sounds like dogpoo.

Razorblade slicey annoying buzzy drive, and a boring clean. I dunno... probably some of my least favorite amps.

If you're gonna add another amp to your arsenal, I'd do something way different than a high gain channel switcher. Between all the modules, the Mod50 has that territory totally covered.

How about a one channel plexi head? Or a Class A combo?

Couldn't agree more.

I agree!!!! I LOVE the Egnater and it would be hard to play anything else. I thought of an Orange, I like those......but a Plexi would be great, just too loud to make it useful, LOL! I was also tempted to look for a used VHT 50/St. That is a nice amp!

Eric, did you ever pull the trigger on the Ceriatone Jubilee?
I know you were hot on it after the Bonamassa concert.
I saw a rig rundown he did for Premier Guitar and boy it's sweet.
I don't enough Egnater gear yet to to know whether that's unique enough to stand a long side it.
Just wondering where your head was on it a few more weeks removed from your blues baptism!

Nevermind, I just saw your post on the "Other Amps You Own" thread. Looks killer. Please let us know once you've fired it up.
