Pleasantly surprised after finally getting to spend some time with a Poundcake 25th.
This is a super versatile head. Great cleans, and can dial in a nice gritty blues tone, AC-DC crunch, all the way up to 80's hard rock territory without a boost.

I don't hear much about them.. just curious if there any owners out there that can share their experiences.

I own a Poundcake 100 MK-1 for at least 9 years.
I has one of the best clean sound on it's first channel. Probably one of the best clean sound out of a multi channel high gain head.
Second channel(crunch) can go from a edgy clean sound to a great classic rock.
Third is like an amazing sounding JCM-800.
The fourth channel can go from a classic 80's hard rock to the heaviest detuned poopy-pants metal, without a boost and without getting fizzy.
Insanely smooth, huge low end, great clarity and fast attack.
I'll never sell mine.
Bring up the Depth control and use the master volume above 4. Just make sure the speakers will handle. Otherwise you'll break a few things.

The MOST underrated amp on the earth!
Absolutely stellar machine!
Channel 3 with the boost engaged was my fav.
Cleans and Crunch were amazing as well.
I miss mine, I just can't keep one of every amp,
he he he he

I own also the purple face Poundcake 100W head. The Clean is amazing for a Channel Switcher El34 amp. And the Overdrive sounds are all in the ballpark of a modded JCM800, but with very creamy mids. Kinda like a Bogner Blue channel or Soldano BUT without strong lows. Its tight, but not much lows. I mean the amp was designed late 80 or 90s? Its not a brutal amp at all, no modern Rectifier sounds here. But aggressive and you can hear the amp in a mix very good. Just the right frequencies More of a souped up JCM800 but the MIDS are to die for , very unique. Very creamy. The amp has lots of Gain, no problem with that. You have mini switches for Mid and Treble Boosts and you have your channels. All combinations of channels and switches makes sense and i just wont that amp let go.
I think the company doesnt exist anymore, and there was at some time a more modern version on the market with more brutal heavy sounds, but the original version is where its at guys.
