I have been on a futile search for an affordable hardtail strat with H/H configuration. It appears the guitarist from Tora Tora (Keith Douglas) is putting together guitars under the name "Bastard Guitars". I came across this strat which is serial #1 out of his shop and I decided to buy it. Alder body with maple neck and a pair of Duncan SH-6 pups. Should be here before the weekend arrives.

i wonder if he'd do a custom one with a single hum and single volume. does he have myspace or web site?

I think its cool. I have a hardtail strat that is swamp ash. Its my pseudo Jake E Lee guitar. It sounds great. Congrats.

Got the guitar today. I love the way it feels and plays...........but the Duncan Distortions sound pretty bad. I'm assuming they don't mix with the alder and maple. They are very thin, bright, and fizzy with WAAAY too much distortion. I've already ordered a pair of Dimarzio Breeds.
