Any way to determine what fret wire is on a guitar?

I made a short video.
White nitro is from 2016. Blue is from 2019. I play the shit out of my white nitro. Zero fret wear.

Looks like shitty YouTube removed any clarity my original video had. ?‍♂️

Instead of a video try a strong magnet. I'm@work or I would for ya. LMK
 
After watching your comparison video between known nickel frets on your 2019 Charvel and your unknown frets on your 2016 I would be inclined to state that I think they may be stainless steel frets. Especially if you 2019 shows more wear than your 2016 that has alot more play time on it.

I mean at a certain point you must connect the dots.... You can see the more dull nickel coloring on your 2019. Your 2016 are bright and shiny and the no wear aspect of it points towards stainless steel IMHO.
 
I run Jescar jumbo stainless exclusively on my Les Paul customs and your white charvel frets look just like them in terms of size, the always polished look, and the super slick feel you describe. The fact that you don’t see ANY wear on the shinier frets with an always polished look means they’re likely stainless jumbos of some type. The other charvel has that faded nickel fret look that has to be polished to make look like stainless frets and also has the typical wear of nickel.

Stainless jumbo frets won’t need replacement in our lifetime. That’s why I’m running them in my Les Paul customs - I found someone that can do it right and I don’t want to ever have to have someone less experienced touch them ever again.
 
I tried last night before I went to sleep with a rare earth magnet, those are strong. It does work on the nickel frets. I'll try it in stainless in a few hours...

I have a few of those crazy strong magnets from hard drives. I’ll test it out.

I tried out the super strong magnet. I didnt notice any attraction. I had to dive bomb my floyd because the strings kept pulling to the magnet. lol
