Just wondering as I am not having a good experience with this business at all. I won't air it yet but I am getting tired of it.

I've bought a pickup from them and it went fine. They always pickup the phone when I call, and when I was in town they had no trouble letting me demo their Diezels and Engls. So, I've generally been happy and wouldn't have a problem buying from there again.

I've delt with them a couple of times recently. He gave me a good deal on an Orange 412 cab and I just picked up a foot switch. I'm not sure what your issues with them are but, I can tell you he's in the middle of a big move and, if you're corresponding with him via email, he's been having issues with that too. He emailed me for three days to tell me my foot switch was in and I never got them.

This has been my limited experience with them too.

I've had a couple of dealings with Nick/Axepalace. Both also involved Bernie Rico Jr... I had zero problems with Nick. He seems like a great guy and is willing help you if he can.

I've also heard of people having problems with them/him. But things eventually got worked out and everyone ended up happy. It seems those involved mostly overseas orders.

And yes, he is in the middle of moving his shop so maybe that's causing some issues?

Hopefully you get this worked out.

A much needed move too. You can't move in that place. It's like stocking a music store into a 400 sq ft one bedroom apt. And he's got a bunch of 412s and some serious heads on top of them. Some really sweet one off guitars too.

Bought 2 Caparisons from Nick and each was a good/positive buying experience.

Yup they are slimy. Same experience. Bought something new and came in a different companies box. Also I bought a ESP guitar custom shop signature and never got the certificate of authentication. Plus I upgraded to BKP and they didn't send me the original pickups. Hey no problem take my pickups and sell them on your shit website.

Fuckers. Haven't bought from them for a long time now.

Dude... That guy Nick can be a dick... I bought a pickup from him and it took nearly two months to get. Long back and forth story. But he made good on it and refunded my shipping plus a little.

I would definitely call first and make sure the item is there before sending and money his way.

I’ve bought a few different Bare Knuckle pickups from him and a new Diezel k100 FL 4x12cab, never had an issue. Spoke on the phone and he was helpful and friendly. I guess everyone goes through something at some point though.

I know first hand that he picks and chooses who he wants to mess with. Some will have a good experience others won't especially if you want to return something. This topic has been brought up by several customers in the past if you look through old threads .

My experience with Nick was a 4-5 month nightmare. He eventually refunded me and I got my pickup, but only after him jerking me off for months on end and my getting Bare Knuckle involved. Every time I talked to him on the phone I couldn't help but feel like the dude was one of the most egotistical douche bags I'd ever dealt with. That's my personal experience anyway; others seem to talk about the guy like he's a god and come off like they'd bob his knob and swallow given the chance.

I've done business with Nick, hands down exceptional service.
I've shot the shit with Nick, hands down cool cat who knows gearheads when he's talking to one.
He's offered straight up killer gear and excellent pricing; and has also (at times) directed me NOT to buy something when asked his opinion (which to me shows a level of integrity considering he could have easily capitalized at those times).
He's also been my BKP pimp for North America when I'm not dealing direct.

Sorry if you're having a problem, I'd suggest opening a dialogue with a high level of acceptance at the onset to get purported facts; and once laid out, stick to them and see where it goes.

I had a mixed experience but he made it right almost immediately and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Eh, I had a negative experience with Nick holding onto my money after I returned an amp. He confirmed he received it back from me, and sold it to someone else,.shipped it to them, and then waited a few more days after that to refund me.

I won't buy anything from them again.
