-I would post a link but I am on my cell and it isn’t working.

Just read an article called, “The Story of Riot, the Unluckiest Band in the World.”

good god, but there has never been such bad luck!! For the time, their music would have been pretty fat rock. The article has a couple videos of their songs.

if I was in that band, and all that happened, I would have lost my mind. Talk about misfortune, damn!

Riot yes Dallas 3pm Although the unluckiest band in the world has been dubbed Skynyrd

Oh yeah got all there stuff up to Born In America and a live album . Got a link to this article you read ?

Riot Fire down under
Great album, thier first two are great also but the production wasn’t the best . The two albums after FDU with Rhett are really good . I lost interest when they went in the power metal direction

Riot’s great - their old school metal stuff was great and they transitioned into a sort of speed metal / power metal where they nailed the Painkiller vibe before Painkiller dropped. I even like the Mike DiMeo era as well. Mark Reale dying abruptly was really shocking - I knew he had health problems but damn.

As far as the current incarnation of the band their guitar playing live is top notch - playing dual solos at the speed they play at ain’t no joke. The current vocalist Todd Michael Hall has some pipes on him as well.

My band opened up for them back in 1989 I think. We had heard the name before, but we didn’t know who they were.

Oh Mike. Riot .......one of my favorites. Loved these guys since the early 80’s. A good friend of mine turned me on to them early on. Privilege of Power and Thundersteel are killer power metal albums. The album’s with Rhett Forrester are so good. I’d say you really should check out the entire catalog. It’s worth the time.

Wow....major flashback. 82-83 and Pantera doing "swords and tequila" in their second set at Savvys and The Rock Haven on weekends. That's how I got turned on to Riot.

My high school band used to cover "swords and tequila". Fire done under is an awesome classic hard rock album!
