Low watts, kinda pretty sounding, just cleans, affordable, so I can put my Bogner pedals in front and get crazy with it as a practice amp. Especiallly when I'm watching the walking dead. ;)

Could you hook up a Bogner Ecstasy or Uberschall pedal to a 1x12 cab and use that as a practice amp? I have a Mesa 1x12 just laying around.

You need a power amp in addition to the Bogner pedals. You could pickup an electroharmonix 44 magnum pedal and run the Bogner pedals into it and then into the 1x12 cab.

This is my walking dead amp:

With a few cheap (but great sounding) pedals on top. Sounds shimmery and CLEAN clean. All headroom and no breakup in these models.

Mine has been modded to Pre CBS blackface. Plus it's had a mod for non 4ohm speakers (so you can use 8 and 16 ohm speakers).

Check it out:

If you want a cheaper practice amp, the crate vintage club 20 (through a better cab) is my go to luncbox.

It has really nice cleans but the distortion is insane. Like a JCM800 through a power soak.

I would go with one of those new '68 custom Princeton reverbs or deluxe reverbs. Should be perfect for what you want.
