The guitar looks real cool. Never touched a Carvin guitar, but curious about this one.

I have 3 Carvins , great playing guitars . No experience with the GH model though .

Saw that on Reverb. Nice looking guitar and seems like a good deal.

Only thing to consider is you can have Carvin/Kiesel build you one to your exact specs. I'd check their online guitar builder and see if you could spec that guitar out and what the price tag is new right from them. The benefit there is you'll get the security of their 10 day return policy in case you find its not for you. Only thing is you couldn't add any options outside what they offer in the guitar builder or they'll consider any such option upgrade an option 50, which they'll gladly do, but it will negate the return policy.

FWIW, I own a Carvin ST300c and its a great guitar. Had a minor issue when I received it, but it looked and played and sounded so good I decided to keep it and deal with the issue myself. Waiting on my second, well Kiesel this time. Hoping the quality and fit to finish is near flawless; fingers crossed.

Personally, I like Carvins. I have owned their amps, PA, and a Guitar. Quality items at a great price.

In the past when Carvin has been mentioned on this board, there were some negative comments due to the fact they are not as expensive as some guitars. I believe a hard shell case is included at no extra charge.

Actually, no, the cases are a little extra.

The Greg Howe is based on the C66, which I have and it plays great.

Yep. The tolex case= $90. That's what they were four years ago when I ordered my ST300, and that's what they charged me for the order I just placed in October.

I got a Kiesel Aries recently and it is a great guitar. Plays nice, sounds great, and I am very happy with it. Best guitar for the money by far.

I love that model, almost bought one last year. Only thing i would change is the headstock. Id put their pointy one. Would make it look so much better, i love that pointy one.

I really want an Ares 6...

One thing I noticed is that the Greg Howe has a 20" fretboard radius. 16" is already really, really flat, I don't know what 20" would feel like. Just something to consider.

I just received the word today that my Aries 6 is complete

Unfortunately I'm leaving for a month long trip and had to defer shipment until January 16th. Its killing me :aww:

I'll post a NGD when I get it.

Get one, they are great man!! I custom ordered mine, took like 7 weeks I think? it ended up being early by two or three weeks. It is a great guitar, not just a great guitar for the money. It can hang with pretty much anything.

Mine took 10 weeks FWIW. Still not bad turn around

You still rockin the Lithiums in there? I know when I pm'd you back in Sept. you were still diggin them.

There's a 20 radius on my new AM7 and it works.
The guitar slays, I'm super happy.

Hit the XMan up about the GHowe model, he loves Kiesel and loves talking Guitar

Yeah, I dig the Kiesel Lithium pickups. I have only played them through my Masotti x100m, but they are great through that amp.
