Anybody use a Rocktron Hush?

I'm considering a Rocktron Hush Super C in the loop of my Friedman JJ to get rid of the amp's normal hiss on the gain channel when turned up and not playing. I was looking at the Super C because I like the price but I see mixed reviews on it, some saying it robs tone and others saying it doesn't. Does anybody here have any experience with it on a similar amp?

I had one of the old units a few years ago it was ok. I have gone to the NS-2 on the 5150III and I like it better than the rocktron stuff.

G String is best, it tracks your guitar and then also is in the loop. Dead silent and yet has no bad side effects on clean or mid gain tones.
