Anybody use an audio interface - USB C with a long USB C cable?

So I have a need for a 12' USB C cable for an Arturia Fuse 16 Rig interface. I have 1 cable that is 10' that works. But I need 12'

The 10' cable is high speed, but ableton constantly loses connection to the interface. I've tried this cable with and without hub, and I have this hub/doc. Tried it direct to Mac M3 laptop

Those USB C cable connections are the worst.

They are physically too small to handle the weight of the cable, so they're always either falling out, or becoming loose and losing their electrical connection.

Could also be a "Smith Chart" problem with reflectivity, based on cable length.

Normal USB signals become unstable at long cable runs.
An Active Cable Keeps The Signal Clean.
I Would Not Use Any Adapters If This Can Be Done

Avoid using a dock with an audio interface. it combines all the inputs onto one shitty bus controller which can cause havoc with audio devices. Plug direct always. Also that unit looks like it converts USB packets into thunderbolt which might also cause latency.

I used 20 foot cable for my interface and works fine. One end is USB C and the other is USB with a type A adapter.

Carefull with overly long cables when it comes to usb it starts causing errors l ok get you go

Ugh. As a guy who works in IT.... I HATE the poor design of the USB-C cable. Absolutely trash. Sorry about your cable issue, probably something to do with the length, as noted elsewhere here. Best of luck!
