Anybody using a Lexicon MX200?

Thinking strictly for delay/reverb in amp's effects loop. Does it live up to the Lexicon name?

I have not tried that one but I would really look at the MPX-1, used at around $325 on Ebay it lives up to the Lexicon name imo. The hall settings are lush and very nice swells but of course comes with the lag time during patch switches.

The verbs were far better than my Gmajor.

I ended up ordering a G-sharp. Seems ideal for what I need, no fuss delay and reverb for the amp loop with a killdry option and a nice simple footswitch. If it sounds good, that is. But it's cheap and I can return it if the sound quality isn't there...

Mike I used to have 2 cheap Lexicon Reflexs. I loved those and should have never gotten rid of them. If those sounded great I can't imagine these sounding anything but great.

Never used an MX200, but I've got an MPX-1 in great condition if the G-Sharp doesn't work for you. I'm not doing the rack thing anymore so it's just sitting around. It was previously owned by Jeff at Egnater and before that sah5150 I believe.

Thanks man, I'll track you down if it works out that way...

I use two 200's, one in my guitar rig and one in the pa rig
both work flawlessly.
use the tape echo/chorus patch for the loop in the guitar and its killer
same patch with different settings or a verb/tape echo patch for vox depending on the room.
got each off of craigs list for under 100

I used one in my Bogner Shiva. Great tone, great bypass also.

Only problem is that you only have one level (I think it's input), so you cannot really adjust levels well with it. Either your amp has a loop with the right level of gain or not, you cannot compensate with the MX200.

I use an Axe FX now, so no more need for the MX200. Still the quality of the verbs and delays holds up well with the Axe.

Wanna buy my MX200? (Europe) ;)

The G-Sharp arrived today. It'll do the job just fine I think. I mainly wanted simple delay with tap tempo and killdry and it does that. The transparency isn't perfect but I plan on going parallel with it when funds allow.

I had a Lexicon MPX-1 that sounded good but the latency made it useless for live playing, better for home use.
I currently have a G Sharp. I think it's a decent unit for the money. Didn't notice much tone suck, but I've only used it a few times for just delay in the loop of my Peters amp.

I think the tone suck is there, but really minimal as far as I can hear. I guess my expectations were low considering what you used to get back in the day with cheap rack gear. :scared:

And am I nuts, or is there no power button/switch?

I only used mine for a few gigs, I can't remember if there's a power switch. Mine's in storage now for a few months (middle of moving)
Basically I'm no help...just saying that I have one.

Nothing new here to report poohead..............................

I never did understand the latency issues with lexicon stuff, man it is over a second that is for sure.

I can live with any latency here in madison square bedroom. But for $150 new/shipped, the g-sharp does pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Well, I guess $200 once you factor in the footswitch.
