I love boosting R2 on my Mark IV with my OCD. I can already get some great heavily pushed plexi sounds out of it then hitting it with the OCD sends it into hyperdrive!

I boost r2 on my mark Iva. I use a maxon od808. I have also boosted it with a Timmy overdrive with great success. To me the key to getting the best out of r2 on a mark IV, is boosting it.

All the time on my mark III, I use a BB Preamp or tube screamer.
Just a little more gig friendly /

Yes I use a Tim for rhythms and then kick in the boost on the Tim pedal for a lead boost. Works great. R2 is just a little shy on gain so a good transparent boost kicks it over the edge nicely

Wondering if anyone uses the GEQ when boosting on RHY2 ?

I prefer RHY2 on the Mark IV not boosted and a V with both 750 & 2200 lowered on the GEQ. I leave the GEQ off on the CLEAN & LEAD.... I find the LEAD channel cuts great without the GEQ. If I boost with RHY2 it gets too compressed for my taste.

Cool thanks fellas im gonna mess with it more next practice, i need to bring it home sometime and play with it. I really onlt mess with it once a week..

A fuzz pedal into Rhy2 (with the Gain set low) works pretty well.

Lately I have had the eq on for every channel. In the past I would rarely use it.
