Anyone check out the Marshall Sl-5 yet?

Just heard some clips and it seems like what I could use right now. Thought the clips were pretty decent in the high gain department for a little 5 watt amp. Would love to have a tube amp I could crank at home and not disturb the neighbors with. Kinda wished it had an effects loop. Was looking at a Fender Deluxe Reverb, but even that is too loud for my house. Anyone know how this would compare to the other lil Marshalls like the JMP1, etc?

Seems like a really cool amp. I like the demos, sounds and features. It just depends on the price. I mean the Class 5 is also a Marshall 5 watt and is approx $350 new. Granted this has a bit more in the feature dept, but I am not sure how much more it is worth to me. I like the 1 watt option. I thought the reverb sounded good, but I probably wouldn't use it and could use pedals in front of a Class 5 to get many similar sounds to justify the price difference. I guess I need to know the street price. Seems really cool though.

I know nothing about the SL5, but the Class 5 head is awesome. I had one and could get just about every Marshall tone available at manageable volumes (with a SD-1 and Whiteface RAT). There is also a little trick that involves the headphone jack that can be used with a cab and gives super low volume tones (forgot the details though).

Have any clips EyesOfTheSouth? Been curious about these forever but haven't seen one in my neck of the woods.

I never recorded it. I bought it on impulse after trying it out one day at GC. I sold it because I realized that I didn't really need it. But it sounded so good that day that I had to have it. I also plugged into the combo but it rattled really bad......but maybe they got that sorted out by now.

I remember bringing to our rehearsal space and putting the RAT Reissue pedal in front of it and running it into a G12-65 loaded 4x12 and it sounded really heavy.....and good. Anyway, I would definitely still have it if it had onboard verb or a loop. The amp breaks up really fast and any verb/delay pedal out front sounded pretty messy.

I love my Class 5. It sounds awesome and takes pedals really well. As a matter of fact, I was selling some pedals and I always demo them through the Class 5. Some guy came over and he bought a few and told me he has a Class 5. He gigs with it when he can on smaller gigs and slaves it into a power amp. His only gripe is that it isn't loud enough for a loud drummer. Other than that, he loves it for gigs. I couldn't see spending 2x that for something with a few more options.
