I'm going to put Aldrich bridge and neck pick ups in my Les Paul and I'm debating on getting the push pull pot and tapping the coil on the Bridge. Anyone done this? Is it worth it or does it sound like poop? Would love to have a really nice single coil tone along with the ripping humbucker.

Sounded real good tapped with a suhr modern. Still not stratty but good.

I have Aldrich bridge and neck along with a single coil in an HSH arrangement on a 24 fret guitar, of completely different body woods, with a 25.5" scale length...I don't coil-split the pickups individually, but I auto-split them in 2 and 4 positions in conjunction with the middle single coil. All that said, they sound great with the single coil! Very quacky, and sounds pretty close to positions 2 and 4 on a strat with single coils. I realize that you have no middle single, but from what I'm getting from them coil-split here, I'd say go for it!

I have. I have a pair of Aldrich pickups in my electric guitar with a coil-split, and it sounds fantastic. The output reduces a little bit, which is expected of going from humbuckers to single coils, but I use that to my advantage.

It's not as good as the full-on glassy twang of a proper Fender Strat, but it's close!

The only improvement I would make, is to get a third pickup for the middle position and a 5-way pickup switch, so I can blend the split neck pickup and middle pickup.

I say do it.
I've got an Aldrich set being installed in my PGM301 and I'm getting independent coil-splits for each pickup.
I always get coil-splits installed on my guitars.
Even if it doesn't give you an actual single-coil sound, it still gives you more options and can really take your clean tones to another level on a guitar that only has humbuckers.
