I got a buddy with a nice FGN Les Paul that I was going to buy at one point. In my research on them, they have these proprietary frets that change shape or something as they go up the board, I forgot what exactly they do, but they're not a standard off the shelf fret.
Anywho, I never bought it and while we talk guitars and he'd see me post on FB about leveling frets, crowning them, and setting up a few of my guitars after I finally bought some fret tools, he asked me a few days ago if I was any good at setting up Les Pauls. It'd be a breeze to set up a regular Les Paul, but with these special frets some of these FGN guitars have, I'm curious if I can still flatten the neck, straight edge it, and rock the frets to at least see if the frets are good. He says he wants to adjust the action but just can't seem to get it right and curious if these frets are gonna stump me or not.
