They went on to detail these giant racks and all I had was a shitty ass gorilla practice amp, hoping one day to score that shitty ass Roland JC 77 (which I got for my birthday.) I mean the Roland was a great clean amp, but damn the distortion was in the Gorilla's league. What did I know back then? There was no internet, no forums, no one to ask, no mp3s to steal, no youtube, no real frame of reference. I had no idea what a modded Marshall was, or anything of the sort. I only knew that the Roland didn't sound like EVH and I was pissed
