Was asked to research this for a friend. His friend picked up a vintage tube amp and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. Colvin RA216 is its name and its maker is supposed to be Vitone Sound co. I did some research and found something called Vintone, and he makes amps. That could be it, but there is no evidence that he ever made an amp called the RA216. Anybody have any idea what he just picked up?

More than likely, the amp is an old Reference Amplifier aka RA, and it probably used 216a power tubes.
There were many manufacturers that made these kinds of amps over the years.
They were usually used in radio stations, TV stations, military etc.
It's probably a very simple circuit. Most of these used 2 and 3 tubes.
Pretty much, just a simple power amp.
