Anyone ever use V30s with their Friedman Amps?

I just don't know how the V30 could be harsher than the G12-75s I have in the cab now. They don't sound horrible but just seem a tad harsh.

really want to try some H30s I've heard good things about them.

I'll be trying trying those tomorrow. Thing is I hear they take a while to break in.

They are pretty cool speakers. I wouldn't worry about breaking them in.

Steve Stevens was using V30s on this recent Idol tour.
I thought he was a Scumback user?

He is, but this last tour he said the V30s just sounded better for what he was doing. The cabinets were Scumback cabs, but they were loaded with some of his old V30s.

Jim didn't publicize this atrocity. V30's in a Scumback cab. Interesting combination...

How did you like them? I got 4 of the Heritage versions (Made in UK) in a Mills cab for the CCV. They have a certain point at which the blanket covers the cab and a sweet spot that was tough to dial in. Once you find it, they are OK. Did you find it? That was my take on them.

So far I like them a lot. They're far from broken in and I'll need to spend quite a bit more time with them but so far so good.

I'm using a mix in my quads, V30's in the bottom and GBs' in the top. I like that mix a lot.

Been blasting in the Heritage H30's for about 1 hour this morning. They freakin ROCK!!
The top end is a tiny bit crispy but I'm sure they'll smooth out just fine. Huge bottom and really nice mid content. Liking 'em....... A LOT!

do they offer a 55hz or 75hz choice or are all of the current new G12-H30's 75hz cone models?
