The Mustang's trunk isn't as small as most people think. The back seat even folds down. That said, you have no shot in hell of fitting one in.
This is true and I think it would be close but I think it will be so akward to get it in and out you'll fuck your back up.

Back in the late 80's I was able to fit a slant cab (not a straight) in the trunk of Z24 Cavalier, and in the mid-90's I pulled it off again with a Probe GT. Cars that will not work in any way are late model Mustangs and Challengers.

That's why I drive a Jeep. I had to fit my Ampeg 8x10 cab in the back last night for a gig. I can fit an Ampeg 8x10, a VHT Fatbottom 4x12, and still have room for the guitar amp, bass rack, both pedalboard cases, 2 instruments, a keyboard, mics stand, and keyboard stand. Then, if I didn't have a passenger, I could still fit our merch tote and my kazoo amp in the front seat. I'm not sure, but I bet if I take the spare tire out, I could probably fit 3 4x12s back there without taking the back seat down. I would never gig without a spare though!
