I'm working on a trade for my Plexi halfstack to a local dude I've done business with a few times and one of the pieces of gear he has I'm working on figuring up an offer/deal for is a Tokai Love Rock LS128. I had a Burny Les Paul Custom years ago and reallllllly wish I had never sold it and love the 80s/90s Japanese lawsuit Les Pauls. I don't know much about the Tokais as I've never played one, but I know they're up there with the Grecos and stuff of the good guitars from Japan. However, in limited research, that series appears to be much newer than the Burny I had. I only found one used one on Reverb that had sold and they said it was a 2008. Is the LS128 series newer? How are they in comparison to real Les Pauls or other copies? He has some Sheptone Tribute pickups in it, which would probably get pulled immediately for some Duncans I have, but just curious if they are a newer series of guitar, how they play and feel compared to older Japanese Les Pauls and real Les Pauls.
