If so, were you happy with the result? I have a 2203 clone and I'm considering sending it to them for either one of the 80's hi gain mods or the AFD/SIR 39 type mods.

I had one I got in a trade. I forget which mod it had, but it easily did 80s high gain. Sounded on par with anything else, modded marshall wise. In fact I liked it better than the 2 Friedman marshalls, 2 Splawn Marshalls, but a little behind the Fortin, Gower, Golub and Camerons. It was a 76 Superbass I believe. Cool amp for sure.

I have the advantage of living close to Jerry and have had a few amps modified by him. A Dual Rec, DSL 50 and a Vintage Modern. Great guy to work with and does top notch work. Best of all he is honest about what can and can't be done to change a given amp.

I have spoken to Jerry many times and its my dream to have a modded amp from him; but i live abroad and the logistics, shipping taxes are a nightmare.
For what its worth i have never read a bad review about his mods or his customer service.
Some of his youtube videos have better tone than i've heard on records! He isnt much of a player but he has some great players in some of his demos and those guys make his mods sound godly!

I had an FJA Modded Roadster that was AWESOMELY tight and correct....I bought it used and already modded but checked out the work and it was clean, neat, and well done....

I have owned and had Jerry mod several amps. From Marshalls. To Peavey. To Mesa.
All his work is top notch. Everyune that hears my FJA modded Recto is blown out when they hear it in person.

Used to have a small shop in the town where my Mom lived. Great guy to talk with. I liked him so much I sent the purple Brad CCV to him to clean-up. He did a great job and turned it quickly.
