Anyone have Eminence Man o War or Legends speakers?

I am thinking of picking up a pair of man o wars and a pair of legends for a couple of 2x12 slant cabs I am building.

If you have them please tell me what your thoughts are. I read one review that said the Man o War was a gt12t-75 clone. That scares the shit out of me as I HATE the gt12t-75 speaker.

i'd sell you some Manowars, but i sure wouldn't recommend them to you.


that BS about them being like 75's, has been floating around for years.


Manowars pump out insane amounts of high mids and treble. for certain amps that are low on high mids, they could help with that, but really they're just voiced too high and too much top end.

I have a Man o War in my Whitebox 1x12. I couldn't tell you what speakers its similar to, but I definitely like it. I've played three amps through it (Jet City JCA20H, Mesa MarkV, and my current Orange Thunderverb 50) and out of those It has sounded best with the Orange. I can post up some clips of it with the Tverb (they'll be mediocre, I'm no recording pro ) If you'd like.

I pretty much play legends exclusively. i fucking LOVE them. Very balanced, clear, and versatile.

Thanks for posting these. I love the chimeyness of the clean that was in all the clean clips. Yep I'm getting them but now pairing them with the Swamp Thangs
