I've used them in an ENGL Fireball - v1 and v2. Right now I have them in v1 and v2 of my Diezel Herbert. I like them alot. They replaced the RFTs I had in there.

I think i'm going to grab a few of these when I order some new 6l6's next week. Problem now is deciding which 6l6's to get lol.

Really... Interesting... Would you describe them as bright? Warm?

I need tubes for all of my amps at this point... Expensive proposition...
Especially the Bogner which takes 6 preamp tubes. That's almost $100 just on preamp tubes in one amp! LOL! :D

Ya I dig them.

What amp are you using them in?

ALL

I'm specifically looking to put in my Splawn. Wonder how they compare to JJ's.
The JJs seem dark and lifeless to the Tung sols. The TSs have a very nice rich sound!!!To me of course.
Yeah I generally HATE JJ's and Sovtek's and both of those sound very good in my QR! LOL! :D
I like Shuhuang 9th Gen and they're too bright in the Splawn...

I dig them, because they give higher gain (than JJ ) but remains clear and tight.

I use one in my ENGL preamp (the other is a JJ, otherwise its too overkill and kills the clean a lil) and two my JSX as V1 and V2 (or v3 maybe?)

BTW, I tried every combinations of Tungsol / JJ / EH / Sovtek in the JSX

I dig em, found em after i got my first sovtek WC.

i wanted a similar sound that was more in your face.
sounds good in my second posistion mixed with rfts in 1 and 3.

they work well in my DR.

I like them overall. They have a nice clear sound good highs, sound more lively than JJ's. I don't like them as well as EI's (which you can't find anymore) but they have taken over as my favorite current production preamp tube.

One thing to keep in mind is the glass bottle is pretty big on the Tung Sol Reissues, so they can be a bit snug to get in on some amps.

I used one in V1 for a while in my Quickrod, then moved it to V2 for a while, then went all Tung Sols, then went back to JJ's

The Tung Sols with the QR were very bright and glassy sounding, they also cut the gain and made the amp even more 'stiff'. For now I'm using JJ's (which I really hate in most other amps) because they seem to tame the high end. I'm rather surprised that Scott is building them with all Tung Sols now...I really don't care for them
