Post your pics of korina strats!

I'm considering buying a korina body and finishing it with tru oil

Not exactly a Strat; but, you know. It's black limba (toward the bottom of the trunk?) The white limba is what they call "korina."

It's always a great day when expecting to see a start and are pleasantly surprised by a gorgeous Vee :thumbsup:

Thanks. It was built by Rob at RRR Custom guitars. Essentially a 58 style V, but with the jack moved inside the V, ESP style. His guitars are awesome, I have 3 with a 4th on the way.

I'd say it has mahogany tendencies. Perhaps the shape has something to do with it, but my V doesn't quite have the same bigness at in the low end as my mahogany guitars (which are LP styles and Explorers.) I've read people say it has a higher mid focus, and I could go along with that.
 
Looking for a Korina Les Paul type. I heard the wood is good for that lower mids push...
