Getting tired of emptying my 7 guitar rack to use at shows. When this happens I have guitars laying on beds, floors, etc, till I get home the next day and put everything back in the rack. It would be cool, at least I think, to build a guitar vault that would house 8 to 10 guitars, and possibly 2 or more amp heads on the bottom, that looks somewhat like an entertainment system. Would have doors that close to hide the equipment when not in use and basically look like furniture. Sure would make my wife happier lol!!

Has anyone done anything along these lines and could maybe share some design tips/tricks?

Man cave!

And another rack would probably be cheaper to buy.

But it would be nice to have a real piece of furniture for guitars, amps etc. An entertaint system style shelving unit that looks like roadcases.

We spend 10s of thousands on storing pots and pans, yet only spend 100 bucks or less on storing guitars.
For studios it would be really awesome.

Only if it doubles as a really cool panic room...

I have that off to the side of the house already. Has beer fridge, wine fridge, amps/guitars, and power tools.

Have you seen the prices for quality cookware? You can spend guitar-like money on just a few pots. ;)
