I placed an order over a month ago for a Stereo Dual Line Mixer. When ordering, I received quick responses to all my email. Was quoted 2-3 weeks for delivery. At the fourth week mark, I sent a message to inquire on the status of the order and didn’t get a response. Sent a second message yesterday and nothing. My intention is not to hurry the guy, even though I was quoted a delivery time that has already passed. Just want to know what is going in with my order. Don’t understand why they can take 30 seconds to answer an email. To get my business the emails at the beggining were responded in less than 24 hours. Anyway, sorry for the rant.

I have and he is kinda slow. I’ve seen him give people a Vanilla Sky pedal to compensate for the delays. He makes good stuff though.

I ordered a mixer. He is a little slow, but worth the wait. I think my order took 4 or so weeks. And yeah, he's in no rush to respond back to emails for whatever reason.

Ok. I will wait a few more days, before contacting him again. Thanks.

I hope this works out for ya, I need one of those too. Keep us in the loop...

This is the guy in Poland?? I've seen MANY complaints about this company!

Yep! That’s the guy. Hope I get out of this with no issues.

Last summer I ordered a DSLM on May 30 and received it on July 11. I was told that this was common for this small shop and then you have to wait on Polish customs to release the item for shipment. It's worth the wait though.

Elaborate...

There's been multiple threads here, and TGP of people waiting on orders.

Mine was stuck in Polish customs for almost 2 months. Once it got out of Poland, it made it to me very fast. His ship date was about 3 weeks later than he said it would be, but the real delays were really beyond his control.

Yeah, I ordered the Line Mixer as well. The wait was EXCRUCIATINGLY long. Pretty sure the customs thing happen to me as well. I did eventually get the mixer after I had all but given up hope.
Honestly, he makes good products, yet paying within a week and the having to wait MONTHS...not sure that is ideal for a business and the POLISH customs must really have issues with US customers.

Anyway, in the end I got my goodies and yes, Mark added a Vanilla Sky pedal for my INSANE wait time. It’s actually a nice OD. Bit on the larger size for what it does, yet still it adds a nice touch.

Best of luck ECON...

At this point I have all the components that I need to set a wdw rig, except for the line mixer. Will the RJM line mixer work in substitute of the ML Custom? The RJM is 200 bucks, so I would be willing to buy it if it will do the job. I can always sell it later or even use it for another project. What do you think?

TBH - just wait it out.

I have been in this exact position with other builders so I know where you are coming from. I ended up filing claims and getting refunds but it probably wasn't worth it. I am left with a bad taste towards the builders and yet still would like to have the item so I look on the used market.

Every situation is different but at this point I fully expect every single builder to take much longer than they say. Happens most of the time from my experience.

It is shitty and shady for them to be extra attentive before getting your money and then giving you the cold shoulder afterward. It is rude AF and should not happen but you are already halfway in. By the time you went through the refund hassle, started over with someone else and wait for them to build you would have gotten the first one. Then you will always wonder how that first one would have sounded.

Now on the other hand if they do respond in a belittling manner or are just a rude asshole in their reply, by all means screw them and get your money

The RJM is a lot more limited, in that it only does three (or four) FX-units in a single mix-stage. The Mark L can handle tons of units across two stages. So it all comes down to what the job you need it to do actually is. With that said, both are a lot more limited than, say, a run of the mill Rane SM82 or most quality linemixers not marketed to guitar players.

When I built my second W/D/W set up, I went with RJM because I didn't want to wait for a second MLC. The RJM will do it, but I prefer the rack set up. The RJM manual says it needs to use a low impedance signal, so you shouldn't just go from the line out (line level) of your amp to the RJM without going through a buffer first (like the RJM tone saver for $150 from sweetwater - though I still have mine I'd sell for cheaper, lol). The tone saver is useful for splitting the signal as well, which you will need to do when you use the RJM. The MLC is set up to split the signal for you. I ended up selling my RJM mixer when another MLC was available used.

It seems pretty weird if the RJM can´t handle a typical line out impedance, and that´s not really what the manual says either:

"A note on signal impedance: The Mini Line Mixer is designed to work with low impedance signals, like
those in an amplifier’s effects loop. In order to use it with a high impedance signal like an unamplified
guitar signal, the signal needs to go through a buffer before reaching the Mini Line Mixer."

So, yeah, you need that buffer if you´re running your passive guitar straight into it, otherwise not.
