So anyways as some of you know I am a Tool fanboy and wanted to get a Rickenbacker bass as well. So since Paul D'amour used a 4001CS Chris Squire Rickenbacker bass for a lot of Tool's early work I happen to find one at a crazy low price.

So now that I bought it I have been pretty impressed with this bass so I just had to check out Yes and Chris Squire which I really never had any interest in before.

Lots of cool stuff, anyone else here into the band Yes?

Sorry no pics of the bass it is with my tech getting setup.

I love me some Yes. All the musicians in that band are beasts. Steve Howe's got some chops.

Squire is a monster...
I happen to take my Yes with a plenitful helping of Trevor however =D

He's one my faves on bass, he adds his own counter melodies everywhere that just make the songs better.
'Fish Out Of Water' is a great CD to check out that he made solo in 1975.

Chris Squire is da man!!
Those Rick basses are the bees knees, the bass player I'm working with has one from late 60's/ early 70's that is absolutely huge sounding
Its beat to death and has been gigged on for its entire life, but plays and sounds amazing.
Strange you should say that, the stuff we are working on is kinda Tool meets Yes stuff :D :D
I love Yes

Oh yeah...I'm a huge Yes fan. I've seen them a bunch of times in concert and they never disappoint!

Squire is awesome. If it wasn't for Jon Anderson YES would be one of my favorite bands. Drama is an awesome album. Machine Messiah is incredible. I also dig 90125 and Big Generator better than most of the Howe stuff. Yes, I do realize most YES fans will ridicule those statements.

dig Yes alot... especially the DRAMA album..they joined forces with the Buggles ( Trevor Horn and Geoffry Downes) and made one of there best albums! Close to the Edge and 90125 are also awesome discs from different eras!
