There's an awesome looking Mira I've got my eye on, but I can't play it before purchasing. I've not played the Mira before, but I've played many other PRS guitars, and always enjoyed it. Some better than others, but I've always dug them in the end.

What say you, RT'ers?

Hrmm... It's hard to describe them, think of a Les Paul Studio w/a 60's neck that happens to be touched by God...

In all seriousness, they play nicely and are a very neutral tonal palate to work with. A hint of vintage, a hint of modern. Overall, a really versatile guitar. The Mira pickups are actually SC245 pups sans the covers so they have a little more heat to them. I'm looking for a white or platinum one when I get some funds to cover some of my less "metal-esque" ground with.

Sounds like just what I'm looking for. I could get my Semi-Hollow back to a "classic" configuration, put high output pickups in the Les Paul, and use the Mira for everything in between.

That's honestly exactly what I consider a Mira. I've seen it/played it both for hard rock and vintage stuff. It just really does a little bit of everything. I will say, with that sort of tonal characteristics, it's no PRO at anything. Just a good all around guitar. Especially for the prices you can find them new and used. Being an all mahogany guitar that has the quality that I'd say 95% of PRS have the moment they come out of the door, I'm sure with the right pick ups, you can make a monster out of it

PRS has been the only guitar brand I've ever purchased just from pictures on the internet without playing. I'm OCD and still trust the consistency that much.

I've considered snatching one up and putting some real HOT pups in it and down tuning it....

Ditto on that notion. I've went on a GAS spree. Sold a bad ass guitar and working a deal on an amp, a ton of FX and some rack gear. I'm going to be broke for a while, the next thing is a loaded Afterburner...

The Economy has killed my income with the bands I play with. Barely make enough money to pay the expenses these days. 6 months ago, I was making $150-200 a show, at least 4 shows a month , usually 6-8.

Def great guitars, I dont own one(yet) but have played a lot of them at the local GC, I tend to think of them as their answer to the SG, slim body and all, but better balanced. Def try a korina, I kinda like those myself, also if you can find one with the Starla pickups, try that, they seem to be a little more articulate. Of course they have the PRS quality fit and finish, everyone I played was great.
