Anyone interested in helping me set up my rig for recording

Im having a few issues with my rig, Im just hangin out on a saturday night messin around with my software. Im using audacity, but im having issues with it so Im trying to set up reaper. If someone wants to chat on IM to help me with the basics that would help alot. Let me know what your IM is

P.S. I installed the two notes plug in but I dunno how to get it to work through reaper
 
Reaper kinda sucks its not user friendly, thats why I usually stick with audacity
 
Reaper and audacity are only recording in one channel. Any words of advice?
