I'm kinda hoping its like a vintage Gibson garage sale find....but in the drum world..

A kid at the end of my block pulled a 60's Gretsch drum set out of the garbage of one of his neighbors. Complete kit with cymbals. His mom looked up the serial numbers and found out it's worth a couple grand. This was three houses down from me.

You never know what's lurking in peoples houses in your neighborhood. I gotta start cruising around on garbage days!

That's worth money. Call up Slingerland to identify it, and then sell that sucker!

You got that right...you know theres tons of stuff out there.

Yeah, I was kicking myself for not finding it first. Then I remembered that I got my '63 Byrdland for $200 so I feel I already had my 'find'. I was even thinking of buying it off them before they knew what it was. I did the right thing though and told them to look it up because they might have something of considerable value there. I was right.

Get all the info you can on the drum and then put it up for a fair amount. If you're in no hurry to get rid of it sit on it for a while if you get no bites. Tax time and around Christmas put it back up. People have money then.
