There is a Neal Schon and/or Journey guitar instrumental/intro that I have heard in the past and even tried to play but I don't know what it is called. It is just electric guitar and has this "haunting", minor chords, sound to it. It is driving me crazy because I don't know if it is a Journey song or if Neal Schon did it. I think I've heard Mark Day playing it in a video but can't remember.

I know Neal has done a ton of instrumental stuff but I don't think it is a whole song. I believe it is more like an intro but not sure.

BTW, I think it starts in "A" and are plucked chords. I know I'm not helping and being vague. :) I just can't figure out how to describe it.

No, I know that intro good. The song I'm thinking of is a rare one and definitely not a hit.

Sent Zachman a message. Hope he might be able to juggle my memory some. I think he was the one that put the haunting song in my head back in 2009. :)

PM sent. The title is Mother Father

Just for fun

Slightly off-topic, but Steve Perry's vocals on that song are flat out ridiculous. Deen pulls it off convincingly, too, in the post-Perry years...

Back to your regularly scheduled topic....

Yes, a great but depressing song off of Escape. You're right, Perry's vocals are amazing(as usual) in this one.

Thanks guys!!! Zach, I knew I had seen you playing that somewhere. I remember I walked into the store one time and you had the Custom out and was playing that part. I think that was the same day I played thru the gargantuan rig and blew my mind!! :)

Gotta say props to Zach...sounded great man. Also....how talented is Deen Castronovo? A drummer that sings is one thing, but one that can cover Steve Perry? I think I'm pretty cool singing Stone in Love in my little cover band but damn...those are easy chords to play and sing over....I saw a live show on Palladia where Deen also sang Still They Ride....awesome!

Thanks... I agree, I like Dean. I actually prefer his voice to Arnel's.

I think Carlos has you that day, jamming on video.

I have been having fun w/ the new Line6 Jam amp... No, it's not the big rig, but still, fun stuff
